Abstract<br />Statement of the problem: In an era when social and local organizations are collapsing due to the reduction of participation, the asset-based community development model offers a new concept for the development of participation by emphasizing the capacities and capabilities of local residents. However, how to create individual motivations for participation in the theoretical literature of this model has been almost ignored. For this reason, in this research, the theory of self-determination, which considers the creation of motivation as requiring consideration of the inherent psychological needs for competence, autonomy, and communication, has been studied and its effect on the asset-based community development model has been investigated.<br />Purpose: The purpose of this research is to present a new conceptual model to increase people's participation based on the influence of self-determination theory in the asset-based community development model.<br />Method: The research is among qualitative studies and by combining two methods of critical discourse analysis according to Fairclough's analytical framework and thematic analysis, the common conceptual areas of property-based community development and self-determination theory, which have the ability to integrate with each other, were studied.<br />Findings: By critically analyzing the discourse at three levels of description, interpretation and explanation and carrying out the process of thematic classification (coding and identification of primary themes and main themes), the areas of convergence and interconnected concepts of self-determination theory and the asset-based community development model were identified and the conceptual model of the research was presented. .<br />Conclusion: In order to motivate and satisfy people's psychological needs to increase participation, there is a need for spaces where people can show their abilities and competencies; have authority to make decisions and determine destiny under social leadership; and have the experience of being present in spaces where they can interact and establish effective social communication with others. These spaces include interactive, decision-making, educational, self-leveling, and self-driving spaces, or in more complete terms, language spaces.

Introduction: About six decades have passed since the official activity of urban planning in Iran, but the achievements of urban development have not been commensurate with the duration of this activity. One of the reasons for the inefficiency of the Iranian urban planning system is the lack of a specific definition within the framework of a clear theoretical paradigm, which results in ambiguity in the definition, role, status and performance of this field.<br />Goals: The present study aims to search for the definition of urban planning based on the philosophy of pragmatism in order to provide a realistic basis for overcoming ambiguities and achieving urban development by presenting a clear concept of urban planning.<br />Methodology: The research is of a qualitative type and uses the grounded theory strategy to understand Iranian urban planning patterns from the perspective of professionals in order to provide a pragmatic definition and with the aim of providing a basis for overcoming shortcomings.<br />Result: The findings were separated into 5 categories of causal, contextual, interventional, strategies, and consequences through data analysis after 3-stage coding, and finally the main category: "Defects and inefficiency of the planning approach in the path of urban development" was obtained. <br />Conclusion: Based on the results, urban planning is an interdisciplinary and action-oriented knowledge that deals with the city and the interactions and actions of residents with a critical and ethnographic approach, and within the framework of democratic and participatory governance, leads to integrated and sustainable development of the city and responsiveness to citizens' demands.<br />Pragmatism, as a philosophical-methodological paradigm, can serve as a basis for redefining urban planning and its concepts in the future of Iran and provide the basis for changes in the prevailing attitudes, methods, and patterns in proportion to the context and demands of citizens, with the goal of pragmatically achieving integrated and sustainable development.

Background: Abandonment, decline of dynamism, and loss of life in urban-historical and residential contexts are issues for which, the presence of tourists is always considered as a solution. Differing goals, priorities, and desires between the two groups of residents and tourists, as well as occurrence of problems and existence of different advantages for each group, can lead to conflict between them. Therefore, considering the necessity of paying attention to the demands of residents, as well as demands of tourists, the conflict between these two groups are examined within the historical Sadr alley of Tabriz city.<br />Objectives: The main objective of the current research was to understand the conflict of interests and achieving aligned goals between the demands of tourists and the desires of residents.<br />Method: The research method has been a combination of qualitative and exploratory strategy. The data analysis was conducted using exploratory factor analysis and the SPSS Ver. 22 software.<br />Results: The identified factors included four main aspects: the first factor includes “the presence of tourists and the vibrancy and liveliness of the neighborhood, welcoming and acceptance of tourists, reduction of tourists' expenses, special tourism entertainment land uses, and the congestion of alley in order to enhance tourists' safety; the second factor includes tourist accommodation facilities, tourism infrastructures, tourism-oriented businesses, diversity and range of activities, and tourists' freedom of choice in selecting activities; the third factor includes appropriate views and landscapes, ease of pedestrian and bicycle traffic, access to public transportation, environmental hygiene, and green spaces; and the fourth factor included the revival of national and religious ceremonies.<br />Conclusion: The results indicate that there is no conflict between residents and tourists in the historical area, and residents and tourists can create a balanced system of benefits by embracing diverse and different amenities, while creating a suitable infrastructure, thereby fostering a balance of interests in the historical Sadr alley.

Urban morphology is a major trend in the study of the shape of the city in urban geography, the word morphology means: the science of form, whose job is to examine the shape of the form of the external structure or the way it is arranged. Urban morphology shows that settlements can be examined by key elements such as land uses, construction structures, the pattern of parts and the pattern of the street, and emphasizes the difference in the durability and lifespan of these elements. slow This article is based on practical purpose and on the basis of descriptive-analytical nature. By using the ENVI-met software, the obtained indicators are modeled and displayed as a micro-climate. In addition to the ENVI-met software, factor analysis is also used to summarize a large number of variables into a limited number of variables. and scoring and ranking have been done using it. The purpose of compiling the article is to investigate the impact of urban morphology on thermal comfort (between Velayat Faqih Square and Baath Boulevard). According to the information obtained from the present research: this area has an old and organic texture that was built based on traditional criteria and has an almost suitable morphology, but the conditions of this area can be improved by making small changes. In addition, the materials used in the buildings of this area (brick, flower straw, etc.) have suitable conditions that reflect the temperature and humidity and store the energy from the sun, so it can be said that life The adaptability of the range is also desirable.<br />Highlight:<br />By examining the effect of the spatial form and shape of the city, we came to the conclusion that the organic texture of Urmia city is much better than the newly built texture of the city. The climate of Urmia city has a significant impact on determining the thermal comfort of the city.

Urban ranking, among comparative urbanism approaches, has become one of the main agendas of those responsible for the development of the world's megacities; In this way, they can provide themselves with the "best" international position, improve their international reputation, and finally achieve the city's competitiveness. Setting up the vision of "Tehran as a cultural, knowledge-based and standard city in the Islamic world" shows the serious determination of the main custodians of development in improving the global position of this metropolis. However, Tehran's rank in international indices has not been in a good position especially in recent years and it is also declining.<br />this research will focus on Tehran's future position in international rankings and the influencing factors. by using th "Correlational and Causality Research design" aims to analyze Tehran's changing international rankings through regression modeling, selecting the driving forces behind the city's rise or fall, the future scenarios would be envisioned.<br />The research paper predicts two scenarios, one of which is a slow and gradual change of the situation to the status of 2020 and the other of a decline of the situation to the status of 2016. Carrying out the scenario of improving the situation definitely requires the improvement of the political economy and the overall socio-cultural situation. But it shows that the international determination of urban management is not ineffective in prestigious international and the strengthening of urban diplomacy can improve the position of the city even in the unfavorable macroeconomic and political environment.<br />The research paper predicts two scenarios, one of which is a slow and gradual change of the situation to the status of 2020 and the other of a decline of the situation to the status of 2016.
The appropriate effectiveness of today's decision-making is related to understanding the future situation and how to face it; in the field of planning, especially urban and regional planning or national and regional development plans, addressing the future and its planning is an inseparable part of the planning process. In most cases, addressing the future by relying on forecasting and analyzing trends has created countless problems in implementing plans. These problems often arise from not paying attention to the effects of emerging or emerging technologies on human life or neglecting the driving forces and key factors in the development process, causing their gradual weakening and ultimately their negative impact on the entire system. Today, futures research approaches in the field of planning emphasize finding key factors and drivers of development in the planning space so that the planner, having the levers of control and management of the future, can address the desired architecture of the future. Therefore, explaining the factors affecting the development of East Azerbaijan Province, relying on the science of futures studies, plays a significant role in the comprehensive development and progress of this city. In this regard, the main question of the present study is: What are the key factors affecting the development of East Azerbaijan Province with a futures studies approach?<br />The variable of investment attraction from the capital market, domestic and foreign, business environment and economic security and stability, and inflation control has the highest direct impact on the development of East Azerbaijan province. These factors are also the most important factor in terms of indirect impact on the development process of the province. Therefore, paying attention to these three variables in the development process of the province is essential for planners and managers. The indicators affecting the development strategy of the province are in five economic dimensions - agriculture/industry/commerce, cross-sectoral/tourism, infrastructure, social and cultural, and environmental. In this study, all 52 factors affecting the physical development strategy of the province were entered into the software and a short indicator was considered for each.
